Your own coffee from the hatch, roasted by you

Your own bags from the hatch, and coffee you roasted yourselves — at your base or in the truck.

Your own roastery wherever there is a free 10 A circuit. Compact, single-phase 230 V with a current limit adjustable from 8 to 16 A, smoke cleaning without an afterburner, no chimney. A food safety plan template for coffee roasteries is included, in Swedish — registering with your local food authority is up to you.

Do you recognise this?

Coffee is the only thing in the hatch that isn’t yours

You built the menu yourselves. The coffee comes from someone else’s roastery, in the same bag as everyone else’s.

You want to sell bags from the hatch

A bag with your name on it is what guests take with them after the event, and what reminds them of you until next time.

A roastery has felt like something for those with fixed premises

A chimney, a duct and premises to convert. This machine weighs about 30 kg and needs a dedicated 10 A circuit.

Freshly roasted, from your own machine.

How it works for you

Green coffee in the hopper. The machine does the rest.
Where it goesAt your base or depot, and in the truck when you want to roast on site. 70 × 30 cm of counter space, 40 cm high, about 30 kg.
In the truckThe machine must be properly secured during transport. Check the fixings and the water tank after every trip, before the next roast.
What it needsA dedicated 10 A circuit on 230 V, with the current limit adjustable down to 8 A for a weaker circuit. No chimney, no duct, no water connection — the tank holds about 3 litres. Wi-Fi, in the truck too.
MaintenanceThe same as in fixed premises: water, chaff, filter and carbon. Expect closer checks when the machine is moved often.
How much it makes1.2 kg of green coffee per batch in about a quarter of an hour at 10 A, so 4.8 kg an hour. At 8 A, up to 800 g per batch.

Do the maths

Count event days, not every day of the year. The coffee you serve in cups and the bags you sell from the hatch are two different incomes, and it is the bags that keep selling after the event.

Use your own numbers: what you pay per kilo today, how many kilos you use per month, and what you would charge for a bag over the counter. The calculator on the home page does the rest and shows the result straight away — no form before the answer.

Proof: Lindas Garage

Lindas Garage runs events with the roaster to draw interest and sell bags of their own coffee.

Compare before you decide

Electric or gas coffee roaster?

Why a gas roaster always needs a chimney, and what power an electric roaster needs.

This is not for you if

  • You have nowhere with a dedicated 10 A circuit — neither at your base nor in the truck
  • You have no internet connection where the machine would roast
  • You pay less than about €14 per kilo today
  • You only trade a few weekends a year

If any of the above applies to you, say so in the form. We would rather say no early than sell a machine that ends up unused.

Frequently asked questions

Does it run on a generator?

The current limit can be set down to 8 A, and a batch then holds up to 800 g. We have not tested it on your particular generator. Tell us what you have and we will answer.

Do we need to register with the authorities?

Yes. Roasting is food production. Whether roasting can be part of the truck’s registration or needs registered fixed premises, such as your base, is for your local food authority to decide. Check with them before you decide where the machine will stand. A food safety plan template is included, in Swedish — the registration is up to you.

Can it be moved around?

It weighs about 30 kg and one person can carry it. Secure it during transport and check it before the next roast.

What happens if the connection drops?

A batch that is already running finishes. No new one starts until the connection is back, and the machine reconnects by itself.

Do we need an environmental permit?

It depends on the country and the volume. In Sweden, for example, notification is only required above 100 tonnes a year, whichever machine you choose. Ask your local authority.

Will it work for you?

Tell us what you run and how you buy coffee today. We will tell you what the machine needs from your premises and what it costs — including when the answer is that it does not pay off.
